Dublin Women's Getaway

The three of us forged a new family tradition last weekend.

We took off together for a long weekend.

Just us.

I have no idea why we waited so long.

Destination - Pawley's Island & Huntington Beach.

We arrived Friday afternoon.

Taking that familiar path to the coast.

Yummy meals.

Conversations across the table.

Browsing local bookstores.

Beach sitting in the morning.

And again at sunset.

A drive across the causeway at Huntington Beach.

Walking across the boardwalk and the marsh at the end of the day.

We've visited here dozens of time.

Since they were twelve and five.

Chick flicks at night at the hotel.

My Best Friends Wedding.

Divine Secrets of the Ya-ya Sisterhood.

Some of our favorites.

Breakfast at Eggs Up Grill.

Strong cups of coffee.

Lunch at the Salt Creek Cafe.

Strolling through Brookgreen Gardens.

Shopping.

Resting.

Peaceful.

Content.

These girls of mine.

They grew up right before my eyes.

Taylor finishes Lander in just a few weeks.

Kate's son is coming in August.

It's flown by - our life together.

They did complain that I drove too slow on the way down.

But, I wasn't in a hurry.

It was our first Dublin women's getaway.

I was in no rush.
